My daughter has dyslexia so I was looking for an audio dictionary to help her when she comes across a word she doesnt know. I downloaded this to find out only the word is spoken, not the definition or anything else. That really doesnt help my daughter. Sure, shell learn how to pronounce the words, but if she has trouble reading the definition, her vocabulary is not increased. I know I can turn on the voice over function on the iPad, but that makes the whole iPad function differently.

No audio at all. Whats the point of purchasing this for? Ver disappointed. Please fix this version asap

Audio does not work, tells me to turn off silent mode, which is not on, or to turn on switch on side, which is on. I purchased this app only for the audio, now I am unable to use it.

Upon realizing later that my request has been already heard I was overjoyed. They have provided the option to type in a word search right away instead of having to always delete the previous entry first (and wait for it to be removed). I changed my one star rating input to five star.

Please work out an update to correct the problem or refund my money.

Its such a waste of money. I bought this for pronunciation and now it does not work at all. I have tried everything but still its not working .. Please help or refund my money !!!

I dont know why all the negative reviews. Audio is working perfect on my iPhone 4s 64GB iOS5.1. Maybe some people have too much background app play (ie; news app, Skype app or other apps that use memory in background play). Most people dont know how to close background play in apps to speed up the phone. One can find this info in Safari under iPhone user guide. Search for background. This app and the Miriam-Webster paid version are the best apps.

Try Merriam-Webster first if you want a paid version.

The audio does not work. The only reason I bought it. Please fix it.

It is suposed to have audio, actually, it is a promess of the main feature of this disapointing app. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

Some dictionaries have more words but none of them is more useful for everyday use as both a dictionary and thesaurus.

It is very useful for me, especially synonym, antonym, and examples.

I am a longtime WordWeb dictionary user. The App has improved a lot over the years. Although there are many other good dictionaries in the App Store, I really enjoy using WW Audio Dictionary and definitely recommend it.

Frequently I surprisingly prefer this to American Heritage and Oxford which are mor expensive. Very easy to use. Unfortunately ICloud does not work on my edition. I only wish bookmarks could have tags like Oxford and sync between iO devices as American Heritage. I like the range of synonyms & antonyms; and the usage examples are good.

I really like this app but I dont understand why the audio is no longer working for any of the definitions. That is what has helped me with the pronunciation. Hopefully theres an update soon to fix that issue. I paid money for the audio version.

This is a great dictionary. I have used the PC version for years and this iPhone version is just as good. The cross reference to the LEO German dictionary works great and audio option is always helpful. Great app. Very useful
